Contest Rules

Video Entries

To avoid copyright infringement, you must have permission to post the video:

  • The video was recorded by you, or someone gave you permission to publish (upload) it.
  • Do not use copyrighted images, video, or music in your video.

The video must be original:

  • Do not enter a video that was previously published (uploaded) to another website, on a DVD, or publically released in any other way.
  • Why? To keep it fair, we have to be sure that it really is your video.

Voting

  • Anyone can vote on your video. They can only vote "thumbs up" — there are no negative votes!
  • The maximum number of votes and voting frequency for a voter is limited (usually, one vote per person).
  • Don't be naughty! Cheaters never win. We have ways to find out.

Winner Selection

  • The video with the most votes by the contest finish date wins 1st place!
  • The 2nd, 3rd etc. videos are also determined by total votes.

Prizes and Delivery

  • Prize winners will be notified by email. If your prize requires delivery, we will request your shipping address at that time.
  • We will never ask winners for money or any other information, such as passwords.
  • If winners do not respond within 10 days of notification, your prize may be awarded to the next runner-up.

Disqualification

You could be disqualified if:

  • Your video was found to be part of a DVD, movie, or any other copyright work.
  • Your video is found anywhere else online. To prove you have an original video, don't upload it anywhere else until after the contest!
  • Your video doesn't match the contest description. For example, don't put a street fight video into a "Karate Training" contest.
  • We detect that someone is trying to 'game' our system and boost votes for your video. This includes paying people to vote for you. Remember, we watch for that stuff!
  • Your video violates the FightTube Terms of Use in some way.
If disqualified, your video will be removed from the contest (and possibly removed from FightTube). You will be notified if this happens.
